The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) is a dedicated community of patriotic individuals who serve as the heartbeat of support for our nation’s veterans, military service members, and their families. As one of the world’s largest patriotic service organizations, the ALA works side-by-side with The American Legion to advocate for veterans’ rights, mentor youth through scholarships and civic leadership programs, and foster a spirit of community volunteerism. Membership is open to the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, spouses, direct and adopted female descendants of all veterans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during eligible periods of conflict, as well as to female veterans themselves. Through their unwavering dedication, ALA members honor the sacrifice of those who serve by ensuring they and their families are never forgotten.
